Meeting programmes included both discipline-specific and multidisciplinary issues, as well as follow up on a range of matters including previously identified projects, proposed initiatives, and key meeting themes.
Fourteen members from eight U21 universities participated in the Dentistry group meetings. Among the topics discussed were a report on the Association of Dental Education in Europe (ADEE) conference, student exchange (short programs and electives), virtual reality dentistry and best practice models for final year assessments. Nine members from four U21 universities participated in the meeting and discussed important issues such as the development of a new 6-year pharmacy program at Korea University, interprofessional education, student exchange and accreditations. In 2011, the pharmacy group did a lot of efforts in organizing teleconferences with pharmacy members to increase participation of U21 members in the group. The efforts will be continued in 2012 to find ways to engage more universities. The group is also interested in discussing the idea of postgraduate awards for the annual meeting in Auckland in 2012. Please see the agenda, report and available presentations below for more information.
